India panel 'satisfied' with Modi questioning
RK Raghavan said Mr Modi could be called again for questioning if there were any "major gaps" in his answers.

Mr Modi appeared for the first time before the panel investigating the deadly riots on Saturday.

The Gujarat authorities reject criticism that they did not do enough to prevent the violence.

More than 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, died in the riots.

Mr Modi, a leading member of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), denies any wrongdoing.

The riots took place after 60 Hindus died in a train fire.

The cause of the blaze was never clearly established.
